Todd Howard saying “it’s not how you launch its what it becomes” says alot about the gaming industry these days. Back in the day, your game had to be top notch ON LAUNCH. Customers don’t want to pay for shit on release day only to get a half assed game to be fixed months down the line?

It’s also extremely dismissive of people who do not have the internet capabilities of patch after patch. I don’t want to pay for a game, then have to pay again via my my pay per use data, the only internet available where I live, to fix the game that should have been built in its entirety when I bought it.

This is literally the exact opposite standpoint of Miyamoto’s “A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever” view.
